Enigin TV Without the Television

posted by enigin in Enigin News

AT Enigin we have a TV station - that will be a surprise to many who work at Enigin, even some of the directors.

They will start searching the office now to try and find which broom cupboard has been converted to studio space, bu they will not find anything.

It is offsite, truly offsite as it is a virtual TV Station, and internet TV Station where we can broadcast live and recorded material and set up schedules that we could then release for either subscribers or the general public to navigate to and with the content and adverts we wanted to put out there - all fairly simple as well.

Media On Stream With Energy Saving

It is interesting to see a shift in the media over the last 18 months.

With Copehagen last December, the Climate Change science leaks and strong opinions by both tree huggers and SUV driving conservatives. It is expected to see the headlines declaring the varied views and sensational utterances of the various groups - but this is not the shift I am referring to.

This is the Walking Enigin News

WE live in a 24/7 society - so we are led to believe - and the media tell us that this is the case, then they go and fulfill the need they tell us we all have for continual rolling news.

Was the advent of CNN or some other station - I am not sure and I am not sad enough to spend time finding out - but at some point over the last 15 years suddenly news on the telly changed from set times (6pm, 10pm midnight etc. or hourly on the radio) to the rolling new we have all got used to.

The Political Agenda & Energy Efficiency

posted by enigin in Uncategorized

IN the UK at the moment we are going through an election for a new government - or the retaining of the old one.

The main political parties have had to refer to climate change and energy efficiency throughout their electoral campaigns - what a difference from the last election 2005, it was not the hot topic it is now.

The Excitement Heightens At Enigin

“ALL work and no play, make Jack a dull boy” - I don’t know who Jack is, but that is the way the saying goes and is a truism.

You need to balance work and leisure, too much of either is bad for you, hence at Enigin many of us, mainly the men I might add, are into football (soccer for our American cousins), whether watching or playing.

Even at the grand old age of 54 I still get out on the rubber crumb pitch of our local five-a-side centre on Monday nights to allow the young lads to run around me while I wait for my legs to react, I’m young at heart at least.

The Media & The Future

IT is not news anymore but it is ongoing - the web as a news medium is killing traditional news sources, primarily newspapers.

Is this the case - I think it is, but not just for news content. To be honest if you want in depth, well researched content then pick up a quality newspaper.

If you want up to date, as it happens news, turn on the TV or radio, the content will not be as deep but you get the news first.

Media See-Saw - Enigin View

posted by enigin in General

Do you not just love the media - they swing from one opinion to another and then they are so often tainted by political angles.

Climate change and becoming energy efficient is a case in point, you will see papers and TV pick up the story and promote sensible energy use and environmental solutions - the next day they will run with the anti-climate change lobby and start calling people tree-huggers and alarmists.

Enigin & The Media

IT is great when you find you have been mentioned in some unknown magazine on the otherside of the world.

This happened only last week when it came to my notice that the on-line magazine thealternativepress.com, New Jersey’s daily environmentally-friendly all-online alternative to a local newspaper.

They carried a report that Print Tech of Mountainside, New Jersey, had taken a major leap along the road to energy conservation - how?

By installing a state-of-the-art monitoring device, the Eniscope (from Enigin), to assist in determining power factor, peak demand and a host of other indicators to pinpoint Print Tech’s current efficiency level.

The local independent Distributor had made the sale and installation and it was pleasing to see that it made the local press - providing vital publicity.

As Oscar Wilde stated: “There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.”

So being mentioned all around the world in different publications, on-line and on-paper, is vital to all businesses. So thank you thealternativepress.com.

Saving Energy And Money With Enigin Products

When we know that almost half of a business’ energy cost are answerable to lighting alone, saving energy is instantly sounding interesting!

Yet, lighting is not the only energy-sourcing element, when you consider things such as air conditioning for example. As for grocery/food related businesses, a large strain is put on the profit margins because of the energy consumed by refrigeration!

Energy efficient systems, which Enigin offer worldwide, are a key response to this problem!

Saving Energy With Enigin Means Making Real Savings

Governmental proposals are being drafted and presented around the world, regarding implementing a tax system for carbon.

Let’s take France for example, with president Nicolas Sarkozy, who recently attempted to submit his carbon tax proposal, seeing it as a leading initiative in the climate change battle. Mr. Sarkozy’s proposition was however turned down by council, who rightly judged the conditions as too lenient for the country’s largest emitters: the tax scheme contains a vast number of exemptions, mostly favorable to the most polluting industries, which seems to defeat the purpose of even attempting to reduce CO2 emissions…
