The Excitement Heightens At Enigin

“ALL work and no play, make Jack a dull boy” - I don’t know who Jack is, but that is the way the saying goes and is a truism.

You need to balance work and leisure, too much of either is bad for you, hence at Enigin many of us, mainly the men I might add, are into football (soccer for our American cousins), whether watching or playing.

Even at the grand old age of 54 I still get out on the rubber crumb pitch of our local five-a-side centre on Monday nights to allow the young lads to run around me while I wait for my legs to react, I’m young at heart at least.

Amongst the staff at Enigin there are those that are eager to kick a ball - one director (who will remain nameless) will try and wriggle out of meetings on certain nights because that’s when he plays football!

Amongst the staff at Enigin there are also rivalries based on the pro teams they follow - Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur to name a few of the top level English teams, let alone out local pro team Plymouth Argyle, who are struggling to stay in the second tirer of the English Leagues currently.

But this time of year the tension is building as the season is entering its final weeks. Championships, relegations and cup competitions across Europe will be settled meaning their will be nervous fans and teams out there each week.

When all that finishes then we will look forward to the greatest single sport event on earth - the World Cup in South Africa - it promises to be a good couple of months for soccer fans, and then the season will start again.
