The Political Agenda & Energy Efficiency
IN the UK at the moment we are going through an election for a new government - or the retaining of the old one.
The main political parties have had to refer to climate change and energy efficiency throughout their electoral campaigns - what a difference from the last election 2005, it was not the hot topic it is now.
It just shows how quickly things change, but most UK parties tend to want to do something about climate change and energy efficiency, it is isn’t a political hot-potato as it is in other countries, there seems to be a general acceptance that we need to become energy efficient.
As we head into the last week of campaigning before the actual election, May 6, it will not go away and whoever takes on the mantle of governing, or shares in it in a hung parliament, will at least make efforts to keep to the nations commitment on reducing harmful emissions.
This is good new for Enigin as we strive to help businesses and organisations to become energy efficient.
